Fresh Eggs

Farm fresh eggs are available here!  We have mixed varieties of eggs for sale from our Ameraucana and Rhode Island Red chickens, and will soon have Silver Laced Wyandotte, Dominique, Black Australorp, Buff Orpington, and New Hampshire Red.  (For more information on egg types, see below!)

Prices:  Our eggs come in mixed grades and breeds, and are priced at $0.25 per egg, which works out to $3.00 per dozen.  We will sell in dozens or as many as you wish to carry!  (Please bring your own carton as we will be providing them in the future but cannot at this time!)

About our birds:  We take great pride in our chicken flock!  They are free ranged in our back yard, which means that in addition to the high quality feed we put out for them, they are free to pick up any other sources of food and protein available to them there.  They are not caged and forced to live in squalid conditions as is the case with production farms.  They are not fed feed with medication or steroids either, which means they are organic!

About our eggs:  If kept refrigerated, the egg should remain fresh and yummy for at least two weeks, and still be good for over a month.

About us:  We moved from England in late 2010, and are a mixed American/British family!  Our ideas on food are procured from both countries, and we try for the best of both!

Meet Your Eggs:

There are times of the year when the eggs are not available, such as the hot summer months when the chickens are too stressed to lay steadily.  (That’s when we use all the eggs laid for ourselves and pickle any extras.)

Meet Our Chickens:

Our laying flock of chickens consists of Ameraucana, Rhode Island Red, New Hampshire Red, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Dominique, and Black Australorp hens.  Eggs vary in color according to their breed.  The eggs are all delicious and taste like chicken eggs, and because they are free ranged and fresh, they taste better than the eggs you get in a grocery store.
